First Trimester Prenatal Classes: Great Expectations
You are pregnant! After you have scheduled your first OB appointment, this class is your next step. Learn current information about changes in your body, what to expect from your OB visits, pregnancy fitness and nutrition, dealing with morning sickness/discomforts, and all that SCRMC can offer you and your growing family.

Four weekly evening sessions held Thursdays. Ideal for parents during the 7th or 8th month of pregnancy. Increase your confidence in the birth process and newborn care. Learn about labor delivery, breathing, and relaxation techniques, postpartum care, infant feeding, and tour the Birthing Center. Instructor is a Certified Childbirth Educator, Lactation Consultant, and mother. Fee is $45 per couple or mom and partner. Call 715-483-0431 to register for classes or register online.
Next sessions: In 2014, the next classes are May 1, 8, 15 and 22 from 6:00 - 8:30 PM; July 17, 24, Tuesday 29 and 31 from 6:00 - 8:30 PM, followed by September 4, 11, 18 and 25; and November 6, 13, 20 and Tuesday, December 2. All classes held in the Riverbend Conference Room in the lower level of the Hospital Building, St. Croix Falls, WI, unless posted.
Expectant Parents Reunion Bring your baby and join us for a time of sharing and getting to know other new families. Offered to anyone who has completed the Expectant ParentsClasses in the last year. Discuss the joys and challenges of being a new parent with members of our OB staff who will be available to answer questions and provide resources. No charge, but registration is required at 715-483-0431.
"New" Breastfeeding Basics: Monthly 12:30 - 2:00 PM. Next on April 8, May 13, June 10, July 8, and August 12. Learn how to get breastfeeding off to a good start, make enough milk for your baby, care for a breastfed baby, return to work/school while breastfeeding, breast pump basics, and have your questions answered by an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). The Latch (Nursing Mothers Group)
their babies are invited to participate in this free group. Connect with other moms and find answers to your breastfeeding questions. Facilitated by an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Meets weekly on Thursdays from 10:30 to Noon in the OB Lounge in the Hospital Building, St. Croix Falls, WI.
Does not meet on Holidays.
Baby and Me
A weekly play and discussion hour for parents and their infants (birth to 12 months). Join the group at any time. Attend as many sessions as you like. Topics include: sleep, reading baby's cues, taking care of mom, baby sign, massage, nutrition, separation anxiety,music, family traditions and more. Free group thanks to a United Way Success by 6 initiative, a grant from the Bernick's Family Foundation and St. Croix Regional Medical Center. Group meets in the OB Lounge. Registration is required.

Grandparents Class: What has changed, and what is the same since you had your children? Stay in the loop and share your experiences as we explore current trends in childbirth, how to support the new family, changes in safety for the car and home, nutrition, sign language, infant massage, and CPR for the infant.
