Nicole Van Susteren, D.P.T.

About Nicole Van Susteren, D.P.T.

I graduated from St. Catherine’s University in 2010 with a doctoral degree in physical therapy.

I have extended experience in wound care, orthopedic and sport related injuries (knee and shoulder have been my main focus) and the management of chronic pain.

I am certified in LSVT BIG. This is a powerful treatment approach for patients who have Parkinson’s disease.

I also have my certification for Trigger Point Dry Needling. This has been an effective tool to achieve pain relief and rebalancing of a common, sometimes chronic muscle dysfunction.

I believe that in order to best treat patients, you need to listen and get to know the patient, so that we are working toward a common goal. Patients need to take an active role in their recovery and find exercises that are helpful and meaningful to them in order to have better carry-over into daily life and a healthier future.

When I came to interview for the position at St. Croix Regional Medical Center, I fell in love with the beauty of the area and have stayed because of the great coworkers and patients I have encountered during my time here

Areas Of Interest:

I enjoy working with patients of all ages, but have a special interest in sports rehabilitation and orthopedics, as well as neurological diagnoses (Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, stroke, etc.).
