Visitor Information

Our healing environment is designed to offer a home-like setting for those who are hospitalized. Patients who are here to recover from illness, injury, surgery, or the delivery of a baby, will have a quiet atmosphere created by us to aid in their care and recovery.

We have the highest standards for patient privacy and comfort in our hospital and provided amenities that encourage family involvement. We believe that family participation is crucial to a successful treatment but as healthcare providers, our priority is our patient.

We respectfully request that all visitors abide by our policies.

  • Patients are limited to two (2) visitors or support person(s) at a time.
  • Visitors are required to follow any screening and personal protective equipment requirements.
  • Visitors should be free from symptoms of infection and communicable disease.
  • If a patient has any isolation restrictions, any visitor should check with nursing for specific instructions before entering the room.
  • Visitors presenting to the St. Croix Regional Medical Center after business hours will enter the facility via the Emergency Department entrance and will be asked to sign in and out for security and safety purposes.
  • In compassionate care situations based upon care team discretion, there may be additional visitors allowed.
  • Visiting a hospitalized patient in person is not allowed if the visitor has:
    • Had a positive COVID-19 test within the last 10 days;
    • Been exposed to COVID-19 within the last 10 days;
    • Any respiratory illness symptoms (i.e., cough, runny nose, fever, sore throat etc.)

**Note: Visitors with known communicable diseases are not allowed at any time.

OB Visitors

OB visitors must follow the same policies above as well as those specific to the OB area.

  • Normal OB visiting hours are between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM with a maximum of five (5) visitors including those under and over the age of 18.
  • All visitors under the age of 18 must exit the OB area by 5:00 PM.
  • A patient in active labor or who has had an epidural may have a maximum of two (2) visitors over the age of 18. (No one under the age of 18 is allowed to visit during this time period.)
  • After normal OB visiting hours (5:00 PM), a patient may have a maximum of two (2) visitors who can remain with them until normal visiting hours begin the following day. (No one under the age of 18 is allowed to remain during this time period.)

Balloons

Latex balloons are not allowed in the medical center due to latex sensitivities.

Chapel

St. Croix Health has a small chapel on the main floor of the hospital. If you would like to visit with a chaplain, please call the social worker at extension 2272 or chaplain at extension 2016

Film and Photo Policy

St. Croix Health requires that verbal permission is received before filming or taking a photo of staff or patients. To protect the privacy and safety of patients and staff, filming and photography during procedures is not allowed. If you have questions, please feel free to ask your nurse or provider.

Parking

Emergency and short-term parking for patients and families are available near the entrance to the hospital/surgery center.

Pets

Service/therapy animals are allowed into St. Croix Health however, emotional support animals and family pets are not. All animals must be approved before being allowed into the facility.

Pharmacy

A retail pharmacy is located on the first floor of the clinic near the front entrance.

Restrooms

Public restrooms are located on each floor throughout the medical center. Please ask for assistance if you are not able to find one.

Smoking/Tobacco Policy

St. Croix Health is committed to a healthy and clean environment and strictly prohibits smoking or tobacco use within the medical center and on all St. Croix Health property.

Waiting Areas

St. Croix Health provides comfortable and convenient waiting areas for family and friends. Reading material, television, and play areas are located throughout the healthcare center.

Please do not leave children unattended in any of our waiting rooms.
