Diagnostic Imaging Services

Imaging, also known as radiology, is the field of medicine focused on obtaining images of the body’s insides. Most people are familiar with x-rays, but imaging also includes services such as MRI and CT scans. Imaging tests are primarily used to diagnose medical conditions such as cancer and osteoporosis, but they can also be used as part of your treatment. At St. Croix Regional Medical Center, we offer a wide variety of imaging services.

Our imaging services include:

Interventional Radiology

Interventional radiology uses imaging technology such as CT scans, MRI, and Ultrasounds to help guide medical procedures. This technology eliminates the need for surgery and scopes to diagnose and treat certain conditions.

Common Uses of Interventional Radiology

  • Treating Cancer
  • Treating blockage in arteries or veins
  • Treating liver and kidney problems
  • Treating back pain

Our imaging team works with state-of-the-art equipment for faster, more accurate results. Our knowledgeable team will guide you through every step of the procedure. When your test if over, a radiologist from St. Paul Radiology will review the results and share their findings with your referring physician. Your doctor will then contact you to discuss the results.
