CroixCares, St. Croix Health's Virtual Health Platform ensures your medical needs continue to be met from the safety of your home.

We know that a lot of patients are still taking precautions and prefer to stay at home. We want to make sure our patients and community do not ignore important symptoms that could be dangerous.

If you are experiencing chest pain, abdominal pain, shortness of breath, lightheadedness, you might need to seek emergency care. It is also important to remember that chronic medical conditions still need evaluation during this time. We want to make sure that these conditions continue to be managed. Video or audio quality troubleshooting:

  • Getting on the latest browser & OS update - Make sure your device is up to date. Your operating system (i.e., windows, macOS, iOS and Android) periodically releases improvements for known issues that improve the performance of your device. The same is also true for your Browser.
  • Restarting your device - Device performance will decrease if your device must manage multiple apps in the background or has not been restarted for some time. We recommend that you close all apps on your device and then restart it allowing a fresh system reboot to occur. This should speed up and allow your device to perform better.
  • Try a different browser - There are multiple web browser options that are safe to use such as, Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox. Make sure they are installed correctly and updated to the latest version. If you are stilling having troubles with your browser, try clearing your search history or cache which may contain background sites or info causing your device to be slow and have other issues.
  • Try another device - Sometimes using another device can work wonders. If your other device doesn't fix the issue than try troubleshooting your network.
  • Try another network connection - Sometimes switching from your local network (wired connection) to a Wi-Fi connection can help.
  • Moving closer to your router - Getting right next to your router or getting plugged into your router (for computers & laptops) can help improve your connection speed.
  • Charging your devices battery - An uncharged battery will result in less power being available for your device to perform off which may result in poor quality connections and system issues. Charging your battery completely before your telehealth appointment will help you avoid poor quality calls and other device related issues. Even if your battery is low, you can plug in your device and still do your telehealth appointment while it is charging.
  • Disconnect other devices from your network - Ask Others in your household to disconnect their devices (TVs, computers, smart devices) during the time of your appointment so they do not use up or limit your internet connection speed.
