For those employees and covered family members on our health insurance plan, SCRMC provides a company-paid plan covering vision exams at no cost along with discounts off of eyeglasses and contact lens. Health and Flexible Savings Accounts

Both of our medical insurance plans allow you to have a Health Savings Account (HSA) where you can contribute money on a pre-tax basis via payroll deduction to pay for qualified medical, prescription, dental and vision expenses.

A Healthcare Flexible Spending Account (FSA) may be used to cover the cost of health, dental, vision and hearing expenses that are not covered under an insurance plan for you and your dependents. If you have a HSA account, you can only use this account for non-medical expenses such as dental and vision costs or medical expenses, this is called a Limited Purpose Healthcare FSA.

A Dependent Care Spending Account may be used to cover the cost of dependent care while you work. You may use this for expenses for the care of a child under age 13 or a disabled spouse, child or parent.
