Lactation Services

We are committed to supporting breastfeeding mothers. Our core team of OB nurses are all Certified Breastfeeding Counselors who are trained to help breastfeeding get off to a good start. SCRMC has an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) on staff. An IBCLC is a health care professional who specializes in the clinical management of breastfeeding. Our consultant is available by phone and in person to all of our patients.

The Latch (Nursing Mothers' Group): Free group meets every Thursday of the month: 10:30 AM-Noon.

All nursing mothers and babies are invited to participate. Private lactation consultations are available by appointment. To schedule an appointment, call OB at 715-483-0576.

The lactation services provided by SCRMC are outstanding. The help I received during those first few weeks after both of my children were born were critical to my success as a breastfeeding mom.  The availability of the group on an ongoing basis added to that success.  Having other mothers to share with and learn from is a huge benefit.  I will always be very grateful for all the wonderful staff in the OB Department.  Laura.
