"My sister was brought to ER on the evening of 8-27-09 with a bad head wound. Dr. Ben Peak and RN Connie did a wonderful job sewing her up and caring for her. Other staff in the ER were just as nice, I just don't have their names, even housekeeping. Somehow they all made a scary, traumatic experience comforting and reassuring. Thank You all for being there and taking care of her."

How wonderful the staff at St. Croix Regional Medical Center is. From the time I walk into the door until I leave, I always feel welcome. This is the only hospital that I have felt so welcomed that I don't mind traveling a little farther to have your services. I good friend switched from a Minnesota hospital to SCRMC for an emergency outpatient procedure. She has now switched to SCRMC permanently because of your great service. I want to thank all of the staff for going out of the way to make me, and anyone that has come with me, feel welcome. The nurses, the greeters, the appointment schedulers, the lab technicians and even the billers are all pleasant to talk to, even the Environmental Service employees say hi to you. Recently, I had an unexpected back problem. Over the course of about two weeks, I was seen in your ER, your clinic, admitted to your hospital, and had two MRI's. Thankfully, I am now recovering from a very nasty, painful problem. I had never been patient at SCRMC. What an experience to be cared for by such loving people. From the time I called till the moment I left, and afterward at my follow-up appointments! And I do mean everyone: the receptionists, the ER nurses and aides, the doctors, x-ray department folks, the housekeepers, nutrition staff, volunteers, social services, rehab services. Dr Skarda and her nurses are absolute gems!! What a great team! The big things and the "little things" (like ordering a meal for my husband so he could eat with me), meant so much. Everyone both on the "front line" and in the background was professional, caring, giving, helpful. And the food was wonderful, too. It felt like I was ordering/eating in a restaurant because the food was hot, tasty and on-time! —S. A.

We returned to your hospital for eye repair surgery and at the clinic subsequently for a final checkup. Once again, your people—from the front door to surgery and everything after were very nice—beyond nice, actually. We talked about your hospital and clinic as the best on earth, only Heaven could be better. We live outside of Webster and do not mind the drive. It’s worth it! —R.H. and L. D.

On December 24, I had to bring my 93 year old mother to your clinic for an appointment. During the shuffle of getting her out of the vehicle and into a wheel chair, we managed to lock all doors with the engine running! Through the excellent efforts of your valet staff, David Kirchberg was summoned to the rescue. He took the time to drive me home to get another set of keys to unlock my vehicle. This past week I brought my 94-year-old mom in for a mammogram and ultrasound. She was very worried as she is disabled and can’t stand for any length of time or move her arms easily. From the time that Jennifer came out into the waiting area to greet my mom to the time she was finished with the mammogram, my mom was put at ease. Jennifer was exceptionally friendly and told my mom what she was doing every step of the way. Jodi, who did the ultrasound, was also considerate and answered any questions we had regarding this test.
