MIDWIFE SERVICES
Nearly eight years ago, St. Croix Regional Medical Center became the first in the area to offer nurse midwife services. Today, Kelly Schmidt, C.N.M. (Certified Nurse Midwife) continues to provide:
• Pre-conception counseling
• Care during pregnancy and childbirth
• Normal gynecological services (such as pap smears and
vaginal/bladder infection treatment)
• Contraceptive care
• Care of peri- and post-menopausal women
• An emphasis on health and wellness education and preventative care

NEONATOLOGY, GYNECOLOGY, AND PEDIATRICS SPECIALISTS
The addition of in-house specialists Dr. Allison Karun (obstetrics/gynecology) and Dr. Jim Wallace, (pediatrics), together with Dr. Bruce Ferrara, (neonatology) at Children's Health Care–Minneapolis, further increases the range of women's health services available to area residents.
