About SCRMC: Foundation

Foundation Mission

The St. Croix Valley Health Care Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to conduct charitable, educational, scientific, and fundraising activities to promote quality health care in the St. Croix Valley.  Their work focuses on health care, community service, and education.

Through its financial gifts, the SCVHC Foundation stands as a staunch supporter of our communities' health care organizations.  Funds are invested prudently, ensuring that income earned from them will be used to further the mission of the Foundation.  Current income also funds purchases of health care equipment for the benefit of patients at St. Croix Regional Medical Center.

Scholarship Awards

For many years, the Foundation has provided scholarship assistance to individuals from our communities who are entering or furthering their education in a health care field.  Each year, a percentage of Foundation funds are earmarked to the Scholarship Program.  Many past scholarship recipients now are putting their education and experience to work in our community. This past year,  twelve individuals received a total of $5000 in scholarship awards.

Scholarship deadlines is April 1.

2015 SCRMC Summer Golf Classic Raises $23,000

The 15th Annual Golf Classic was held Friday, June 19 in Frederic at the Frederic Golf Course.  The dollars raised were dedicated to the Audiology Clinic at the new Frederic Clinic. The funds raised will support the Foundation's mission of providing patient care improvements, equipment and furnishings and health care scholarships to students in the region served by SCRMC. Johnson Motors and Larson Auto are once again our Hole-in-One Sponsors. Along with a chance to win a car, there were one course games and team prizes.
A unique Glow Ball golf tourney will be held in Webster at Fox Run on August 29 as an added event to raise funds for scholarships and patient care equipment.
Fall Gala Fundraising Dinner

A champagne reception.  Great food.  Excellent company.  Exciting raffles and auction.  All this and more have brought together supporters of the Foundation's work each September for the past 20 years at the Trollhaugen Conference Center.  Individuals and businesses generously donate all items sold through the auctions and raffles, and even a live dessert auction created excitement this year.

Health Care Advocate Award

Another very special annual event takes place at the Gala Dinner--naming the winner of the Foundation's Annual Health Care Advocate Award. Each year the Foundation Board chooses an individual from our community whom they believe has made a significant contribution to the health care of the community. The award recognizes the efforts of an individual who promotes the ideals of health care and has contributed countless hours to further the mission of health care in the region. Mary Erickson, Surgical Serivces Director received the award for 2015. Laura Jensen, VP of Patient Care Services presented the award.
