News: Western Wisconsin Cancer Center Now Open in New Richmond

The Western Wisconsin Cancer Center will enable and coordinate the expansion of medical oncology services to the six sponsoring hospitals. This Center will provide a cancer care delivery network that brings high-end cancer treatment closer to home for patients, and enhances each hospital’s abilities to provide local cancer care at each of their facilities.

This integrated system of delivering regional cancer care through each hospital location ensures that patients can receive specialized outpatient cancer treatments that include radiation therapy, medical oncology, and infusion therapy.  Patients and their families have the option to stay closer to home throughout their cancer care. In the past, patients who required specialized treatments previously traveled regularly to the Twin Cities to receive care – oftentimes two to five days per week during a time when rest and comfort are especially needed.
